Spin-offs

We support single-cell technologies with spin-off potential as well as external startup teams through mentoring, matchmaking, and connections to regional programs such as LZM and Life Science Accelerator. This creates an ecosystem that fosters spin-offs and facilitates the translation of research into market-ready products.

Intellectual property

We prepare new and existing intellectual property rights in the field of single-cell technologies specifically for commercialization—including proof-of-concept studies and concise technology descriptions. This gives you access to patented, innovative solutions and suitable licensing models that accelerate the transfer into market-ready applications.

Standardization

Together with our partners, we are working to standardize processes from cell collection to analysis and contribute this expertise to standards-setting bodies. For example, we support you with questions regarding the IVDR/MDR, liquid biopsy applications, automated processes, and reimbursement, and actively help shape emerging standards.

Bioprinting and Regenerative Medicine

  • Cell printing and tissue engineering as alternatives to animal testing and for the development of new cell therapies
  • Patented on-demand dispensing of single cells in picoliter droplets for additive manufacturing

Automated cell isolation for clinical and pharmaceutical research

  • Enzyme-free tissue dissociation using technologies such as TissueGrinder and µTissueGrinder
  • Automated sample processing platforms for clinical research and therapy
  • Physical and genetic single-cell phenotyping for tumor diagnostics and drug development
  • Sorting of 3D cell cultures for standardized assays

Biobank Integration and Sample Quality

  • Interfaces with the biobank for quality management and sample traceability
  • Optimized process chains from the operating room through pathology to the biobank to ensure the highest tissue quality
